Abstract

This paper details one university's approach to meeting state mandates for assessing technology competency of in-service educators, and the results of a continuous, feedback-driven project to evaluate for technology integration through a educator electronic portfolio development process and field-based observations. Current professional literature on technology skills for certification, and evaluation for teaching competencies, state-level education mandates is reviewed. An overview of project development scope and significance to assess technology competency is also presented. Assessment and evaluation results are discussed.
