Abstract
This study seeks to better understand how technology-using teachers develop knowledge and skills around formative assessment. The participants in the study will take part in an online workshop series about using technology tools to enact strategies for embedded formative assessment. This presentation seeks input, within the complex arena of common core standards and 21st Century Skills, around how to utilize the TPACK framework, knowledge of formative assessment, and the transformational potential of online communities to create meaningful professional development for teachers of all levels.
