Abstract
Through a PT3 grant sponsored activity, education faculty were given an opportunity to explore learning to use Personal Desktop Assistants [PDAs] then incorporating class lessons addressing NETS for teachers using a classroom set of PDAs with keyboards. A projection device was also available for use. Faculty were eligible to retain the Palm upon completion of a class project and submission of a project report. All of the faculty members who participated in the original Palm project have indicated that they will continue to implement their developed project or have plans to develop a new project now that they have more experience with the equipment At this time, the faculty has indicated that their experience with the Palm project has been most helpful to them to be able to integrate technology into their university classrooms. This project has provided a formula for success for Eastern faculty members: timely training, responsive support, and an "adoptable" incentive.
