Abstract
This paper describes a new concept and implementation of a multi-user cooperative tele-educational environment. In this environment, a learner can get into a virtual space consisting of three-dimensional computer graphics (3D-CG), manipulate virtual objects, and have conversations with other learners in real time. The first prototype system has been developed as a server/client architecture using TCP/IP. A sample learning materials which consists of two classrooms is developed. We are currently developing the next version, which will enable learners to define new objects and their methods in virtual space and to handle objects more collaboratively.
