Abstract

Discussion of online learning environments focuses on the shift in perspective needed by online learners. Highlights include participation in and completion of an online course; feedback; awareness of self and others; learner-centered metaphors in online course design; needed research; and recommendations for faculty and administrators to help learners prepare for online learning.
