Survey of Distance Technology Use in AACN Member Schools

Abstract

Survey responses from 365 of 478 nursing schools revealed the acceleration of distance course offerings, more in public than private institutions. Budget, time, and staff training were the chief barriers to distance technology use; 23% did not use computers for students' clinical experience. (SK)
