Abstract

The infusion of technology into pre-service teacher education should be a major priority for teacher education programs across the country; especially in the area of special education where technology integration can be beneficial to student development. Similarly, teacher education programs need to prepare students to bridge the gap between teaching and research This presentation describes how we have begun to integrate the Internet and world wide web into pre-service teacher education method instruction in hopes of expanding the instructional use of technology in special education classrooms while integrating best practice (based on effective research) across the curriculum.
