Abstract
Technology is advancing rapidly. Increasingly it is becoming an integral part of the school curriculum. Over the past decade, school districts have spent billions of dollars on classroom technology, yet the classroom has changed little. Many factors have been attributed to the problem. However, a primary one is the lack of effective technology planning at the campus and district level. This paper describes how students in a graduate Educational Technology class are discovering some answers and taking them back to their schools or school districts. Technology planning can provide assistance and guidance for these teachers wishing to incorporate technology into their schools.
