Abstract

In spite of the interest online education has generated recently, the unique challenges of managing a team of virtual educators have received little attention. Academic Department Chairs are empowered to make numerous essential decisions at the department level and play a crucial role in promoting faculty development in the changing higher education environment. This paper/ presentation/ session will explore best practices for virtual Department Chairs to create efficient and well functioning remote academic departments.
