Abstract

Students often search information on Internet while reading textbook. Sometimes, they use the information to comprehend glossary; sometimes, authors of the textbook indicate the Internet resource for learning. Learners waste their time on integrating Internet information with textbook by making annotations on it. This study designed and implemented a system to improve the processes of studying on textbook without modifying learners’ reading practices. Three alternative designs were implemented. An experiment was conducted to evaluate three designs. After using the system, learners can give us feedback through questionnaires and interviews. Finally, the experimental results are reported.
