Abstract

Educational stakeholders concerned about the academic challenges of urban learners have perceived technology as a tool for reversing the historical influences of poverty, discrimination, inequity, chronic underachievement, and lack of opportunity. However, several years since technology was introduced into public education, effective technology use especially in urban schools has yet to be realized. This paper explores the impact of technology adoption on urban school practices.
