Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine teacher education students’ perceptions of the use of a standard-based electronic portfolio system, iWebfolio. Thirty-six preservice teachers were asked to rate their aptitudes regarding the different functions of the iWebfolio system. In addition, three faculty members were asked to report on their perceptions of the use of the iWebfolio system. This research will provide the institution information on how to improve teaching strategies when faculty members implement the iWebfolio system. By understanding preservice teachers’ perceptions toward the iWebfolio system, this study will provide faculty members with recommendations on how to implement an electronic portfolio system in their classrooms.
