Abstract

This paper proposes a design framework and a prototype for constructing a Web 2.0 space (Web2UA) for developing Web 2.0 user agreements. The central idea of the framework is that many features of Web 2.0 applications inherently adopt the principles of participatory design, case-based reasoning and informal learning. It is important to highlight the effect of applying the principles to the designing of Web 2.0 applications. The purpose of the proposed Web 2.0 space is to provide an interactive online environment with multiple scaffoldings to support creating and updating Web 2.0 user agreements. With user rating system, discussion forum, and scaffolding technologies, the space facilitates the collaboration between users and designers and among users, encourages user contribution and reflection and supports to build an online learning community.
