Abstract

Blackboard is a powerful instructional tool to help educators develop learning community, communicate with learners and deliver learning contents online. It has been widely practiced in higher education, middle and high schools, and commercial enterprises. No doubt, Blackboard is playing an important role in online instruction and leaning. Then, beyond delivering subject content, Should the Blackboard be adopted for use as an administrative management tool in educational settings? How can it be used effectively? Experiencing the use of Blackboard as an administrative management tool across departments in a university, the presenter is to share the ways of administrative use of Blackboard, explore its pros and cons, and discuss how this tool can be used creatively for administrators
