Abstract

Motivated by critical reflection of their own practice and the NETS-T standards, three methods instructors present a review of the literature surrounding technology integration into social studies methods courses for teacher candidates. The results of this review will describe practices in methods courses integrated with technology, types of research methods used to identify best practices, and evidence emerging from studying methods instruction and technology integration. The manuscript concludes by offering suggestions for continued research related to content standards-based technology-infused social studies methods courses.
