Abstract
Current models of professional development have not been successful in helping teachers change their practice. To address this issue, online teacher professional development (oTPD) programs have emerged. Online Professional Development for Teachers: Emerging Models and Methods, edited by Chris Dede, explores ten models of oTPD. The book also provides an overview of current findings from empirical research and a discussion of core tensions that exist in the development of oTPD.
