Abstract

During the fall of 2004 our teacher education program implemented the use of on-line submission forms for cooperating teachers in an effort to better serve our cooperating teachers and provide us with a database that we could use for program improvement. The use of on-line submission of student teacher evaluations has been well received by cooperating teachers, and provided improved access to student teacher evaluations for the use of program assessment. Cooperating teachers had previously requested that we make available our student teacher evaluation on-line. The initial results of implementing the use of on-line submission forms not only have helped us streamline the collection of student teacher evaluations, it has also provided us a power database that allows us easy access to collective evidence of program performance. With the ease of implementing on-line feedback forms for cooperating teachers it is difficult not to think about a time when all teacher education programs will utilize such a structure.
