Abstract

K-6 California teachers’ have important role in implementing Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Yet, English Language Learners in these classrooms must continue to acquire English Languages Art skills while learning NGSS. The requirement to get students to think, do and know through 3-Dimensional learning is new. Many are preparing with new curriculum and digital tools. This study examines California teachers as they prepare to teach NGSS curriculum for the first time. This proposed study will make recommendation for success in implementing NGSS while of differentiation instruction with the use of the new educational and digital tools.
