Abstract

Regent University offers graduate degree programs through on-campus and online delivery with many programs available in either format. Accordingly, our faculty and students are expected to move seamlessly between these two delivery modes during their educational experience. In an attempt to understand the changing expectations for teaching and learning resulting from this approach, we conducted a series of university-wide surveys addressing technological proficiency and usage, online learning, and student perceptions of educational technology. This presentation will use results of these surveys to comment about the differing perspectives on educational technology held by faculty and students in the same learning community. In addition, the presentation will include practical suggestions for improving the adoption and integration of educational technology with a particular emphasis on online learning.
