Abstract

This paper describes a set of tools to assist teachers to support open and distance learning by means of the PLAN-G [1] hypermedia system, developed at the University of Girona with the aid of computer networks and, in particular, WWW technology. The web-based tools permit the creation and edition of didactic material, the transfer, organization and management of document contents files, the generation and management of different types of interactive exercises associated with a teaching unit, and the creation and management of a teaching unit. The current PLAN-G prototype has been successfully used on courses in different educational fields.
