Abstract

Abstract: This paper examines the literature review on Web 2.0. It starts by a definition of Web 2.0 and its educational potential; the transition from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0; the constructivist and the social constructivist models of learning; the various aspects of ICT and Web 2.0 that lead to social constructivist learning through collaboration, communication, motivation and reflection. Finally the article concluded by shedding light on the characteristics of Web 2.0 students and Web 2.0 teachers.
