Abstract

The RETAIN model is a game design and evaluation model for serious games. With the increasing use of tablets and smartphones there has been growth in serious games for mobile devices. Using the RETAIN model and rubric, several serious mobile games application were analyzed for the effectiveness of knowledge transfer. Teachers’ perceptions from both the United States and Brazil regarding analyzing mobile serious game applications and the results of their evaluation will be discussed.
