Abstract

Advances in technology allow for the creation of products and services with a level of personalization and effectiveness unrivaled in the history of education. Utilizing the latest advances in adaptive instruction, gamification and digital project-based learning, teachers can now engage today’s technology-immersed students while preserving the educational integrity of courses, delivering media-rich, innovative student experiences that are deeply engaging, highly personalized, and sensitive to the preferences in learning modalities of digital natives. Through a unique collaboration between Stanford University and Redbird Advanced Learning the evolution of Stanford’s highly successful EPGY Mathematics and Language Arts adaptive digital curricula is in its second year. The audience will view the newest version of both programs. In addition, a brief summary of several of the university’s latest research projects in the areas of digital education and blended learning will be shared.
