Abstract

This paper overviews the origins of media as it incorporates hypertext and hyper links its evolution into transmedia, hypermedia, and adaptive media. Each type of media is defined and some examples for classroom use are presented and briefly discussed. Examples include QR codes, Wikis, interactive stories, and transmedia stories. Explanation is given on the potential future of how media can potential develop in the educational world to benefit students.
