Abstract

In order to increase the number of K-12 classroom teachers integrating technology into their classroom practice, North Carolina A & T State University created a Technology Plan for the integration of technology into the curriculum which drew on North Carolina state standards and NETs. Having as plan is only one step toward insuring that teacher education candidates see the effective integration of technology and develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to integrate technology once they have their own classrooms. As part of the PT3 activities, surveys are conducted at the end of each semester in order to help evaluate the actual implementation of the Technology Plan. In this way, the North Carolina A & T State University Teacher Education program has been able to begin identifying gaps in the implementation. Once gaps are identified steps can be taken to improve the implementation of the Technology Plan.
