Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to report the results of a field test for the program Math Master 1.0.1. Twenty kindergarten students spent four weeks working with the program designed to enhance their understanding of counting and basic addition concepts. The program transformed practical and abstract mathematics concepts into interactive lessons and allowed the students to learn basic math through creative games and step-by-step teaching. Most students rapidly familiarized themselves with the computer devices and had wonderful experiences using the computers. Significant improvements were also achieved by the students after using the program, especially in the problems of number sequence solving.
