Abstract

Abstract: A professional development course for teachers in educational technology is described in the paper. The participants (K-12 teachers) were taught how to design and conduct online instruction using Blackboard as the delivery system. The purpose of this course was to teach the participants the basics of online teaching. The class included online and face-to-face sessions. The step-by-step process, methodology, and recommendations for an online professional development course based on the experiences of the professor and the participants are provided.
