Abstract

The purpose of this project was to create a communication channel between artist and viewer regarding how elements in the living environment are perceived. I explored the components of my daily routine and transformed them through surrealism. The subject matter was drawn from encounters with people, in a computer environment of various settings, which allowed me to explore imagery beyond the margin of what is apparent.

I created ten, twenty-by-thirty inch watercolor paintings on illustration board. They reflect the subject matter of my computer learning environment, the inspiration I received from computer information and troubleshooting, my personal involvement in the computer field, my experimentation with computer software and Internet services, and my experiences with both computer hardware and software updating.

I believe I succeeded in creating images that provide a space for viewers and artist to communicate, interpret, and express their own opinions.
