Abstract

This virtual brief paper is prepared to present a short account of the background and lessons learned pertaining to a federally funded postsecondary education improvement project. The project targets one of the most underrepresented areas in the country. The target area has a population that is pre-dominantly Hispanic (i.e., Mexican Americans). A viable solution is then chosen to address a stated human performance problem, which, in turn, justifies the grant. Selected developments of the grant project are stated with reflective thoughts. Of all, the coordination between project team members is one critical element of a successful project.
