Note Taking on eText with Digital Note Taking Tools

Abstract: There are increasing numbers of online course and growing share of eText used in higher education. In order to improve the quality of online education, this paper discussed how note taking could engage students’ learning based on cognition load theory. This study is tried to exam if the note taking activity in the online learning environment would still improve students’ learning outcome and whether digital note taking tool could show advantage when the learning materials is eText.
