Abstract

In this study, team teaching was conducted with a teacher to improve the algorithm-teaching performance of 18 pre-service computer science teachers in teacher training. The teacher videotaped the pre-service teachers’ lesson trial performances, and all the participants in the class discussed presenters’ teaching ability. Then, the teacher provided feedback on teaching ability, and suggested various additional teaching methods and drawing up teaching plans considering the circumstances in schools. After that, the teacher gave the pre-service teachers the assignment of evaluating themselves as they replayed the recorded files. As a result, the pre-service teachers responded that their competence in teaching algorithms method and drawing up teaching plans had improved and that they had learned new teaching methods.
