Abstract

This paper details the best practices implemented by one institution to manage content quality and assessment for just-in-time training that prepares faculty to teach in an online environment. To provide on-demand delivery of faculty development offerings, this institution uses learning objects to present content. The best practices discussed include assessment blueprints, QA reviews, statistical analysis of assessments, and participant remediation. These four elements together provide the foundation for review and revision of the learning objects, so each release continues to be improved upon and appropriate for our faculty who teach online courses.
