Abstract

Today’s preservice teachers arrive on campus with a level of technology understanding that suggests current textbook models are, at best, only marginally appropriate for tomorrow’s educators. This panel will present the historical overview of teacher preparation at five Midwestern USA state universities and describe how technology leaders from those institutions combined their vision and efforts to create an online textbook for 21st century educators.
