Abstract

With the rapid development in mobile technology and interactive media technology, many researcher start to exam and explore a better way to use them in education. This paper introduces an AR system developed for elementary school children. The interesting learning system combines wireless and augmented reality technologies. The system framework and interface design will be shown in this paper. The pilot study to evaluate the system’s function and interface was not successful conducted due to the bad connectivity of the handheld and the mobile server. Although the prototype system is almost finished, it will need to modify several problems before carrying out the summative evaluation. How to use the system to accommodate the learning activity is the task and challenge to be accomplished.
