Abstract

This session offers a descriptive study of the process pre-service teachers used to assess individual students' learning by using technology as an assessment tool. Specifically, the session will focus on descriptions and examples within the context of 1) the setting, which was a Senior Year On-Site Program (SYOSP) that took place in selected elementary schools, 2) the technology, which was an electronic portfolio system (Foliotek), and 3) the reflections the pre-service teachers made that were based on their use of the electronic assessment system.
