Abstract

Abstract: This paper discusses the value of using a portfolio to document competency in a doctoral program rather than a comprehensive exam. The professional growth involved in producing products for the portfolio as well as the reflection process required for the selection of artifacts is discussed. A multimedia project is described as an example of a portfolio entry. Processes used to develop the portfolio are discussed along with reflections of the portfolio process.
