Abstract

This study will focus on investigating the effectiveness of EPSS in computer-based software training. A computer-based software training program with embedded EPSS for Microsoft Excel will be developed for the study. Pretest-posttest control group design will be applied to measure the quantifiable learning effectiveness of the EPSS, and qualitative data will be collected through interviews and observations to investigate users' experiences and qualitative effects of the system. The results will provide theoretical and practical implications for improvement of computer-based software training. Moreover, perceptional effectiveness of EPSS will provide important considerations on developing software training program and relative importance in different EPSS components.
