Abstract

This presentation incorporates an innovative approach to effectively assess preservice teachers' preparation for the varied technology found in diverse school settings. Experience a dynamic, one-of-a-kind, diagnostic, and prescriptive online technology assessment and learning program designed to prepare quality professionals for the way of the future in education. This web-based technological assessment has been implemented for the last three semesters at Pittsburg State University in the Curriculum and Instruction course, "Technology for the Classroom," designed for preservice teachers. Used as a pre-post assessment, data is analyzed for the updating of curriculum content to address the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards and better prepare preservice teachers for the integration of technology into the classroom.
