Abstract

The article shows an example of how multimedia can be used as an effective tool of just in time learning to solve daily technical problems of Community Multimedia Centres (CMC) in Western Africa. The participatory approach in the conception, design and implementation of the multimedia tool is stressed and the first prototype produced is described. The CDrom has been created during a one-week workshop which took place in February 2003 at Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and to which directors of three CMCs participated: from Burkina Faso, Benin and Mali.
