Abstract
This paper mainly tries to explore and grapple with some of the key issues of building Web-based learning community. We have completed the construction of knowledge distributed learning community (KnowDisLC). Development tools paving the way for building KnowDisLC are presented. Challenging issues associated with effective system building are discussed. A model involving systematic process of effectively building Web-based learning community is proposed. Lessons learned are subsequently discussed.
