Leaders want innovation across organizations, but too often it’s only encouraged among a select few students or employees. Imagine if schools, government and business focused on producing innovators rather than subject matter experts. What would it take to transform the cultural DNA? Lessons can be learned from curious and creative real-world risk takers. In this session: • Discover five key skills that boost innovation; • Help teachers and students think differently and make a difference; and • Consider a variety of success stories. Gain practical teaching and learning strategies that foster innovation—from asking questions, experimenting with new ideas and intensely observing the world around us to associating seemingly unrelated concepts, and sharing perspectives across diverse networks.
