Abstract

The influence on both the presentation and semantics of mathematical notation and the impact of state-of-the-art technologies on net-based mathematical courses are analyzed. The integrated MathML/LaTeX software tool ScientificTalk-education used within the ongoing Xmath.org project, which aims to evaluate emerging technologies in a pedagogical context with focus on the communication process, is also discussed.
