Abstract

Digital Commons as a method of publication by an instruction’s library is becoming regular occurrence, already there are over 170 higher education instructions that participate with the Digital Commons Network. These digital commons can provide an alternative path to publication and sharing, but legal issues regarding license agreements and copyright may be problematic. From the authors’ own experiences it is important that a collaborative effort of university personal is needed to address issues.
