Abstract

Abstract: This study investigated the disposition of students towards supplementary e-learning audio materials. This is because research demonstrates that student disposition and readiness to learn are key to the success or otherwise of any teaching and learning transaction. 600 second and third year university students from six departments in three faculties were sampled for the study. The instrument used was a four-item semi-structured questionnaire. The result revealed that 93% of the respondents were positive about the demand while 7% were negative. Respondents also indicated their preferences regarding cost and medium of the audio resources and play back device. Among other things, it was recommended that universities make available supplementary audio versions of lectures as a way of integrating ICT into its academic programme to boost student performance.
