Abstract

Abstract: UITS (University Information Technology Service) at the Indiana University System allowed faculty members to use Turnitin. Each campus has its own institutional license administrator so that faculty members interested in using Turnitin can request an individual account and full access to it. However, because faculty members had to train their students to properly submit and to get feedback instantly, most of faculty members had complained about spending additional time for training. Corresponding to the issue, UITS recently worked together with Turnitin and was able to embed the limited function of Turnitin onto Oncourse, IU online platform. This study may present instructors’ firsthand experience toward “embedding feature of Turnitin.”
