Abstract

This paper looks at the effects of the use of a web cam on the student interactions in small-group teams. Issues of implementation of video chats are also discussed. Preliminary results indicate that video chats are an effective tool for group work and promotion of the development of communities of learning. Some considerations for further research are also proposed.
