Abstract
In response to school-needs and state-requirements, the University of Northern Colorado's PT3 grant redesigned the two one-credit requisite educational technology courses for the undergraduate teacher preparation programs. The first course redesign has been implemented; Technology in Education (ET200) course is currently equipping pre-service teachers with basic computer and software-tool skills. The second requisite courseXthe Educational Technology Applications (ET300)Xhas been redesigned, developed, and is now in the stage of implementation. The first part of the ET300 course instructs teacher candidates in the concepts of technology integration. Then, to make those concepts more meaningful and transferable, the ET300 course immerses students in a problem-based learning unit. Specific questions addressed in this study will examine the state of technology integration in preservice teacher before and after taking the ET300 courses. The result of data will be presented and discussed during the presentation.
