Abstract
Many universities in Taiwan offer courses in the distance learning mode or blended learning mode. Blended learning may be more suitable for students of School of Continuing Education (SOCE) because this group of students is mostly in the workforce during day time. The current study first describes a design of a hybrid course on teaching English with multimedia for SOCE English majors who are either prospective or current teachers of English to young learners. Then, it reports the learning performance, the feedback and course evaluation from the learners. Data are collected through distance learning satisfaction surveys, learner academic scores, interviews, and observations. Quantitative and qualitative analysis methods indicate positive reactions and learners performances in the blended course. The results offer insights in blended learning curriculum design on the topic of multimedia teaching for educators of English teachers.
