Abstract
The main topic addressed in this paper is how to help learners plan a navigation path in exploring the hyperspace provided by existing Web-based resources. Our approach to this issue is to analyze navigation planning tasks in order to design learning facilities that can more readily facilitate learners' planning activities. We also provide the learners with a navigation path planning environment called Planning Assistant, which enables them to plan the navigation path in a self-directed way before exploring the hyperspace. This planning environment calls the learners f attention to establishing the navigation path prior to and separately from exploring the hyperspace.
